Camp Schedule

For our junior campers (ages 6-12), we prioritize giving each athlete the opportunity to experience every event. For senior campers (ages 13-18), we pack in event-specific work with small group coaching.


Senior Morning Camp Schedule

9:00 - 9:15 — Welcome

Get checked in at the southeast end of Griswold Stadium.

9:15 - 9:30 — Group warm up

We’ll go through a general warm up routine as a group before splitting into event-specific areas.

9:30 - 11:00 — First session

Includes one-on-one coaching in a single event area, including form work and video analysis.

11:00 - 11:15 — break

11:15 - 12:30 — Second session

Includes one-on-one coaching in a single event area, including form work and video analysis.

Thursday 

9:00 - 9:15 — Welcome

Get checked in at the southeast end of Griswold Stadium. We encourage parents to stick around to watch our end-of-camp track meet!

9:15 - 9:30 — Individual warm up

Put the drills you’ve learned into practice as you warm up for your events.

9:30 - 11:00 — Track meet: Field Events

It’s time to see how you’ve improved! In this first part of the track meet, you’ll have the chance to compete in throws and jumps.

11:00 - 12:30 — Track meet: Running events

We’ll host sprints, hurdles, relays, and distance races in the second portion of our track meet.

12:30 — Sno cones!

In lieu of ribbons or medals, enjoy a sno cone (and grab one for your parents, too!) after a long, fun week of camp!

Rotate through three different stations learning the basics of each event.

3:15 - 3:30 — break

3:30 - 4:50 — Rotating events Session

Rotate through three different stations learning the basics of each event.

4:50 - 5:00 — Cool Down Game

End the day with a fun game!

We want to make learning track and field available to as many athletes as possible. If you or someone you know could benefit from a camp scholarship, please fill out the scholarship form below and email it to sstcamp84@gmail.com.

  • Yes, campers do. They will not be allowed to participate in camp unless the signed waiver/release agreement is submitted prior to the start of the camp. The participation waiver is included in both online registration and the printed registration form.

  • Each camper must have his or her own medical insurance. Athletic trainers are on duty to provide care for minor injuries or sickness. Camp medical staff is NOT responsible for administering prescribed medication.

  • Yes, we do offer scholarships. You can fill out a scholarship form here.

  • Our camp is held at Lewis and Clark’s Griswold Stadium.

    Getting to Griswold Stadium

    Enter from Palatine Hill Road and park in the upper parking lot above the stadium. Head into the stadium from the top of the grandstands, cross the field, and make your way to the Southeast corner of the track for check in.
